Symptoms of Alzheimer disease are more obvious and progressive without
remission. The average course from onset to death is about 8-10 years.
Main performances of Alzheimer disease are cognition impairment, mental
and behavioral disorders and decline of daily living abilities.
According to the development of disease and the serious degree of
cognitive impairment, it can be divided into mild, moderate and severe degree.
Mild
1. Mild language impairment;
2. Obvious memory disorder in daily life,
especially losing the memory of recent things;
3. Confusion of time concept;
4. Loss direction in familiar place;
5. Lacking initiatives and losing motivation;
6. Showing depression or aggressive behaves;
7. Losing interest of hobbies in daily activities
and life.
1. Patients become more forgetful, especially
tend to forget recent things and names;
2. Unable to live on their own;
3. Unable to cook, clean or go shopping or do
other activities on their own;
4. Patients become extremely dependent;
5. Decline in personal ability and needing
others’ help in some aspects, such as going to bathroom, washing clothes and
dressing;
6. It become more difficult and difficult for
them to speak;
7. Patients start to wander aimlessly and have
other abnormal behaviors ;
8. Patients may get lost in familiar places such
as lodgings and residence;
9. Patients have hallucinations.

2. Patients are unable to identify families,
friends and familiar objects;
3. Patients have obvious difficulty in language
understanding and expression;
4. Patients fail to find way in residence;
5. Patients have difficulty in walking;
6. Patients have incontinence;
7. Patients show improper behaviors in public
places;
8. Patients start to need wheelchair when moving
or lie in bed all the time.
Based on the serious degree of symptoms, in
clinic, Alzheimer disease can be divided into: first stage (illness time 1-3
years), second stage (illness time 2-10 years), third stage (illness time 8-12
years). As the disease progresses, patients with Alzheimer disease are often
associated with depression, mental and behavioral disorders and others.
Moreover, patients shall pay attention to secondary pulmonary
infection, urinary tract infectious and others. Alzheimer disease must be
treated early.
